In partnership with the Buenos Aires Ministry of Urban Development and Google Maps technology, BGH Air Conditioners developed a software program capable of measuring the sun’s impact on every home in the city. By logging onto their website and entering an address, residents could calculate the exact amount of hours their homes were exposed to sunlight. The accumulated hours were then converted into a discount towards the purchase of a BGH air conditioner. The longer the exposure the bigger the discount. Check out the video below.
The Result
With an initial investment of $40,000 BGH obtained a turnover of over $14 million and managed to install their air conditioners in more than 49,000 homes.
