Clever Hyundai Ads Make Objects Disappear When You Move Closer To The Screen

The ‘No Zones’ sensor on the new Hyundai Elantra detects oncoming traffic in your blind spots and alerts you accordingly. To promote this feature, Ukrainian agency Tabasco has come up with a brilliant campaign that shows how blind spots affect your vision while driving.

The three print ads show a car, a bike and a kangaroo on the left, and a rear-view mirror on the right. If you close your right eye, focus on the rear-view mirror with your left eye and come closer to the screen, the objects disappear. Check it out below.

Instructions:

1. Close your right eye
2. Focus on the rear-view mirror with your left eye
3. Move closer to the screen. The object on the left will disappear.

The objects on the left disappear because of the lack of light-detecting photoreceptor cells on our optic disc i.e. the raised disc on the retina at the point of entry of the optic nerve. This is called a blind spot or scotoma.
