We’ve seen some great public service announcements this year, but this one is a notch above the rest. Titled ‘In Reverse’, the 1½-min film starts with the aftermath of a bombing in a Syrian playground. The events are shown in reverse slow-motion, going back to the point before the impact of the explosion. The entire film has been shot brilliantly and towards the end, we see the bomb going back up into the sky and the kids playing happily. The camera pans up and a message appears – “We can’t reverse what’s happened in Syria, but we change how the story ends.” Check it out below.
UNIT9 is the production company involved. The film has been written and directed by Martin Stirling who also created the thought-provoking “Most Shocking Second a Day Video” earlier this year. It showed the impact of war on a young girl and was a huge hit online with 33.7 million views so far.
These anti-war PSAs are a critical need of the hour looking at the conflicts not just in Syria, but across the globe. Seen a more impactful campaign of late? Share this post and your views in the comments below.
