In 2011, New Zealand won more Cannes Lions per capita that any country in the world – 1 Lion per 155,989 residents. Sweden was second with 1 Lion per 202,173 residents. The UK and US were 4th and 8th respectively (bet you didn’t expect that).
Special Group (an Auckland based ad agency) used this insight and came up with this super funny film promoting New Zealand’s national advertising awards by taking a humorous dig at the Italians, the Australians and the Kiwis themselves. Watch below.
And yes, this film won a Lion as well. 😉
