A Beautiful Reminder Of The Strength And Contribution Of Mothers In Our Lives

With Mother’s Day around the corner, P&G and agency Wieden + Kennedy, Portland, have come up with a brilliant commercial for the Rio Olympics that salutes mothers for their strength, sacrifice and contribution in making us who we are.

The two-minute spot titled “Thank You, Mom” starts by showing four young athletes getting ready to participate in their respective events. They’re just a few seconds away from showtime and are anxious about the challenges in front of them. The film flashes back to their childhood, to the tense situations in their everyday lives when they were bullied, harassed, involved in a car crash, etc. Watch below for more.

“It takes someone strong to make someone strong.” Inspiring stuff from P&G and W+K. Share this post with your mom and let her know how big a strength she’s been in your life. Use the comments below to share your experiences.

P.S. In case you’re wondering, the music in the background is Experience by Ludovico Einaudi.
