Rescued Chilean Miners Star In Most Inspirational World Cup Ad So Far

In 2010, 33 miners were trapped for 69 days at the San José Mine before being miraculously rescued by a team of experts in an operation which lasted 24 hours. The incident had occurred barely a month after the 2010 World Cup.

Now 4 years later, all 33 miners return to the Atacama desert to back their national team which is placed in the infamous “Group of Death” along with defending champions Spain, Netherlands and Australia. Check it out below.

“We don’t fear the group of death because we’ve defeated death before” – scintillating stuff, no doubt. Kudos to Bank of Chile for creating this motivational spot that’s already received over 1.1 million views in just 6 days.
