The recent controversy regarding sexism in Silicon Valley seems to have created a backlash against CodeBabes with leading publications condemning the tutorials as ‘sexist’, ‘sad’ and ‘the worst thing on the internet’. There’s even a parody website that’s come up. The CodeBabes team seemed unfazed by all the negative feedback and had this to say in response via Twitter:
