We may be living in the golden era of below-the-waist grooming products but advertising them still requires a ‘delicate and sensitive’ approach (pun intended).
One example of successful advertising in this category is a recent advertisement by California-based male grooming company Manscaped, that has gone viral across social media.
The 30-second commercial was created by agency Pereira O’Dell for Manscaped’s latest product for men, the Lawn Mower 5.0 Ultra. Yes, that is the actual name of the product.
The commercial humorously depicts a man enjoying various outdoor activities with his two ‘boys’, only to reveal that his ‘boys’ are noticeably bushier compared to others.
Experiencing discomfort due to the heat and sweat, he decides to follow the example of others and trims them using his Lawn Mower 5.0 Ultra. The ad ends with his ‘boys’ visibly more content, and a tagline that reads, “Give your boys the love they deserve.” Watch below.
