How To Link To A Specific Time In YouTube Videos

Here’s something handy you probably didn’t know. You can create a URL that links to a specific time in a YouTube video. In other words, you can share a link to a YouTube video that plays from where you specify. Here’s how.

Simply add #t=00m00s to the end of any YouTube URL. Change 00m to the time in minutes and 00s to the time in seconds.

For example:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bZkp7q19f0 will play Gangnam Style from the beginning.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bZkp7q19f0#t=02m45s will play Gangnam Style from 02 minutes 45 seconds.

This is particularly useful when sharing lengthy videos, presentations, tutorials, speeches etc. when you want users to ‘jump’ to a specific time in the clip. Hope this post comes in handy. Visit our tools section for more tips and tricks.
